Dr. Tanisha King, Ph.D. is the founder of Dr. King Speaks, LLC and the creator of Sovereign: Heal. Lead. Rise. A survivor of childhood trauma and domestic violence, she has transformed adversity into purpose. Raised on Chicago’s South Side as a first-generation college student, Dr. King combines her lived experience with more than 15 years of expertise in culture transformation and leadership development. She has dedicated her career to coaching women of color into positions of leadership, empowering them to reclaim their power, navigate systemic barriers, and rise into their fullest potential. Dr. King’s mission is rooted in the belief that healing and leadership can coexist—turning pain into purpose and inspiring women to lead with courage, authenticity, and impact.
